Howard Wilkinson and before that Howard Kendall so maybe we have to find an Englishman called Howard and we'll be fine.

Re: Last English Manager to Win Premier League?
Harry Redknapp is about as good as we have produced for 30 odd years when it comes to managing English clubs, although Bobby Robson did win the champions League but that was with Barcelona, as did Venables when it was still the European cup, but that was in 86 I think.

Name an English manager at an English club who could be considered one of the worlds best at that time and for my money you have to go all the way back to Brian Clough.

It's a strange one.

Redknapp comes out of that very well.
